Tanya  is a passionate advocate for regional Australia, combining her business expertise and understanding of human behavior. 

As Managing Director of IMPACT since 1999, she excels in capacity building and advocacy. Tanya serves on influential boards, including Surf Lifesaving Queensland and the Wide Bay Burnett Fraser Coast Regional Community Forum. With multiple degrees, including an MBA and a Bachelor of Psychology (Hons), Tanya is a dedicated and entrepreneurial leader. 

Tanya has led IMPACT through floods, budget deficits, and COVID-19, transforming it into a successful multi-million dollar enterprise. Collaborating with the IMPACT Board, staff, and participants, Tanya creates opportunities that empower individuals, improve resilience, and increase social and economic participation, ultimately improving lives in the community.

Mat Grills

Mat Grills is an ultrarunner, plant-based athlete, and café owner based in Bundaberg, Queensland. Known for his “Adventures and Activism” blog, Mat combines his passion for endurance running with a commitment to healthy, sustainable living. He owns two cafés, The Journey and Unknown Specialty Coffee, where he brings together his community values and love for quality food and coffee. A dedicated vegan, Mat advocates for a plant-based lifestyle to boost athletic performance and recovery, sharing insights on both his blog and social media. Notably, in 2022, he took on the ambitious challenge of running 100 km daily for 50 days across Australia, aiming to inspire others toward fitness and resilience.
